Water softening is the process of ion exchange that removes hardness, caused by calcium and magnesium salts, through their exchange with sodium ions. In order for this exchange to take place, water flows through a resin bed that has been previously activated with sodium chloride.
Watera’s softening resin is suitable for contact with food and resistant to mechanical breakage, has high ion-exchange capacity and low salt consumption, ensuring reliability and long life.
